- An explosion today rocked the Central Bank of Nigeria’s office in Calabar, Cross River State. About 20 persons were injured during the explosion believed to have been triggered after a gas exploded in one of the offices at about 11am.
- The Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal today upheld a judgement earlier given by a Lagos State High Court which had sentenced an ex-beauty queen, Ibinabo Fiberesima, to five years imprisonment for manslaughter. The actress had been held for reckless driving responsible for the death of one Dr. Giwa Suraj in Lagos.
