Poor Electricity Supply: AEDC Gets Three Weeks Ultimatum For 24 Hours Electricity

Patently worried by the epileptic power supply in the state, the Niger State House of Assembly rose from its  plenary on Wednesday, issuing a three weeks ultimatum to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) to provide customers with prepaid meters  and uninterrupted 24 hours power supply in the state.

A crisis of monumental dimension may  have engulfed the Niger state chapter of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  with less than 10 days to it’s local and state congresses scheduled to hold on 8th and 12th of this month respectively with a group accusing the national Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus and the immediate past Governor of the state, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu of an orchestrated plan to hijack the congresses.
