Niger Governor Umaru Bago Hails Dr. Babangida Aliyu As He Turns 70.

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago congratulates the former Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, as he turns 70 on the 12th of November 2025.

In a birthday message, through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor extols the virtues of Dr. Babangida Aliyu, describing him as outspoken, courageous, and a role model to many.

He recounts the significant contributions of the former governor to the growth and development of Niger State in particular and Nigeria as a whole, particularly when he served as a civil servant and rose to Permanent Secretary at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and during his tenure as governor (2007–2015).

The governor says the impact of the administration of the celebrant is still glaring and beneficial to the people.

He commends the former governor for looking beyond political party differences and supporting the present administration for the overall benefit of the state and its people.

The governor appreciates Allah for the life of Dr. Babangida Aliyu, noting that attaining 70 is a milestone and a testament to Allah’s favour, grace, and mercy.

He prays that Allah will continue to guide the celebrant, grant him more years, increase his wisdom, and keep him in good health to continue to be an inspiration to younger generations.

The governor also reaffirms that the state government will continue to support the former governor for his selfless service to humanity.
