Ondo State House of Assembly now has a new Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
The erstwhile speaker, Mrs. Jumoke Akindele and her deputy Abdulfatai Olotu were impeached by
18 of the 26 members of the house.
The 18 members signed the impeachment of the speaker and her Deputy.
The new Speaker now is Mr. Iroju Ogundeji whose Deputy is Ayo Arowele. The duo were immediately elected as Speaker and Deputy speaker after the impeachment of the former officers, which impeachment moves were perfected at about 10:30pm in the apartment of one of the lawmakers.
