Vice-Chairman, Verdant Zeal Marketing Communications Group, Loses Mother  

The Vice-Chairman (EVC), Verdant Zeal Marketing Communications Group, has lost his dear mother, a matriarch, Mrs Grace Olabisi Olugbodi JP at the age of 83 years old.

In a statement signed by the son, Dr Tunji Olugbodi, on behalf of the family said with “heavy hearts yet with heartfelt praise and gratitude to God, the Olugbodi family of Ara Kingdom in Egbedore Local Government area of Osun State announce the passing-on of their mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and matriarch Mrs Grace Olabisi Olugbodi JP (Extraordinary Grace).

The death occurred on 18th April 2026, exactly a week after the burial of her husband of over 65 years, the Unforgettable J.O. Olugbodi on 11th April 2026. What God has joined together, even death could not keep apart for long.

He expressed his family gratitude to God that, true to her name, she lived a life of extraordinary grace, bringing up 8 boys and 1 girl, and being a mother, big sister and friend to many other people.

She was an exemplar of the success and deep satisfaction that comes from a life of hard work, fortitude and a strong mindset that would not back down in the face of life’s many challenges and vicissitudes.

She was also a pillar of faith, love and grace. Her life was a testament of service to God and to the transformation that comes from knowing Jesus as Lord and Saviour..

She will be missed, not only by her family, but also by the many Christian sisters and brothers that she loved, served and was a blessing to in her lifetime.

Her son, Dr Tunji Olugbodi said of her death: “Though we mourn, we rejoice that she is now resting peacefully in the bosom of her Maker, reunited with her husband. She was indeed an extra ordinary blessing “.

According to the burial arrangement, The celebration of life are as follows:

Service of Songs and Tributes – Friday, May 8, 2026 at Union Baptist Church, Osogbo, Osun State.

The funeral service and interment will take place at the First Baptist Church, Ara Kingdom on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 at 11 am.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, grandchildren, sisters, brother, nephews, nieces and other relatives.
