Outstanding Pupil Bags 6 Awards, Thrills Parents On Prize-Giving Day

A primary 5 pupil of New Jerusalem City Baptist School (NJBS), Ejigbo, Lagos, Samuel-Amadi Micheal  has emerged best student of the school by winning six awards at the school’s prize-giving day ceremony recently.

Samuel-Amadi bagged all six awards which include best in Mathematics, best in English language, the nestest pupil, most punctual, 2nd position in previously concluded Spelling Bee competition and overall best student for the session.

Father of the pupil, Mr. Samuel Amadi, who could not contain his joy over the success of his brilliant son expressed himself after the event.

He  said,” I bless God for my child and I’m so happy and proud of him. He has always been a great child so I feel blessed by God”.

Mrs. Elizabeth Ore, the Head Teacher of NJBS, in her words said, “Micheal is a very disciplined student, very matured, accommodating, neat and brilliant, so he deserves all the awards and more”.


The awards were presented to him at the school party which was held on Tuesday 19th July.

The prize-giving ceremony was a very elaborate one with mind-blowing performances and presentations from the students.

Some of the presentations include: hymn and songs rendition, cultural dances, keyboard presentation, choreography, dance drama, alongside newscasting.

All students and guests were seen in beautiful dresses and the school announced that all students available at the party would be given free new uniforms each as sourvenirs for attending.
