Nassrawa Governor Al-Makura Submits Names Of New Commissioners

Barely six months to the expiration of his tenure, Governor Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has forwarded names of 11 new commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioners and members of the state executive council.

Speaker of the Nassarawa Assembly, Hon Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullah read the names on the floor of the house stressing that their appointments followed the recent reshufflement of the cabinet.

Nominated names include Hajiya Halima Jabiru, Salisu Abubakar Haske, Pham. Victor Tella, Mary Enwongulu, Suleiman, Hajiya Jamila Sarki, Dr. Roseline Kera, Hajiya Sa’adatu Yahaya, Wudu Yamba, Dr. Clement Uhembe and Hon Mohamed Bashir Aliyu.

The nominees are to submit their Curriculum Vitae on or before 30th November, 2018.

Meanwhile, 3rd of December has been picked for the screening of the commissioners’ nominees and possible confirmation.

On 31st of July 2018, Al-Makura sacked nine commissioners and two special advisers from his government.
