MD Fan Milk Nigeria Pledges Health Nutritional Improvement In Army Barracks Ikeja

…visits 9 Brigade Commander

The Managing Director (MD) Fan Milk Nigeria, Mr Kayode Adebiyi has pledged to improve on its contribution to the quality of health and nutrition in the Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja Cantonment, Ikeja, through the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Disclosing this during a courtesy visit to the Headquarters, 9 Brigade Commander, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Olawale Matthew Oyekola on Wednesday, 10th September, 2025, Mr Adebiyi said with over 60 years of existence of the company, much will be done to penetrate more into the host community.

While expressing satisfaction with the high degree of transformational projects within the Cantonment, he added that although Fan Milk is not a structural development industry, he was amazed with various projects in the Cantonment and believed that Fan Milk could equally play its own through its robust CSR.

He emphasized that more attention would be focussed at ensuring healthy and nutritious living for the residence especially the children. He commended the military for its leadership role, especially for its sacrifices towards maintaining national security architecture.

In his response, Brigadier General Matthew Oyekola thanked the MD for the visit and identifying with with 9 Brigade Nigerian Army.

Particularly, he remarked that the efforts of Army Headquarters at renaming the cantonment and giving needed facelift/aesthetic beauty to the Cantonment’s main gate have attracted lots of interests from the government, individuals and corporate bodies.

Brigadier General Oyekola added that it is a welcome idea of having Fan Milk Nutritional Day in the schools within the Cantonment, which would align with “Soldier First” mantra of the Chief of Army Staff, a practice that would have positive impact on the welfare of the soldiers’ children.
