Mayor Of Columbia Attributes City Development To Nigerian Cleric

Growing cities takes a lot of financial and human commitment but for the city of Columbia, South America, the former Mayor of Barranquilla, Dr Juan Garcia, has attributed the remarkable “progress and advancement” to Nigerian Prophet Temitope Joshua of Synagogue Church of all Nations.

He confess this in a video streaming on YouTube that ever since the fourth largest city in Colombia, symbolically gave the key of the city to Prophet TB Joshua in Lagos, Nigeria, the city has witnessed unprecedented development.

In the video, the former Mayor testified alongside Pastor Jorge Freyle of ‘Iglesia Vida Abundante’ about the impact of Joshua’s prayers on his city, saying “We can see the development of this beautiful city since 2007 when the Mayor Dr Juan Garcia gave us the key of the city and we immediately gave it to Jesus Christ.

“I went to Lagos, Nigeria and gave the key of the city to Prophet TB Joshua. Since then, the city has changed because of the prayer of the prophet,” Freyle explained.

Areas he said have attracted unprecedented development include the refurbished sports centres, the construction of new highways and a 12,000-seater conference centre. In addition, he reiterated that in the area of security, there has been high sense of relief and calm has been “restored amidst challenges faced by Colombia as a nation.”

Expressing happiness and gladness for his support, he thanked God for the life of TB Joshua because since “we gave the key of this city to him, the city has experienced a supernatural change,” he emphasized.

While acknowledging that he personally met the cleric during his crusade in Cali, Colombia in 2014, Dr Garcia noted that he used the opportunity to personally “presented the key of the city to the church. Today, we can see the impact of this on our city and it is only God that can make such a thing possible. This city is changing,” he acknowledged.

Nationalwire gathered that during the 2014 crusade Prophet Joshua held in Cali, Colombia, over 50,000 people attended the crusade with the congregants filling the Pascal Guererro Olympic Stadium.

He also held similar crusades in Peru, Mexico, Paraguay and Dominican Republic.
