Man, 51, Rapes Three Minors, As Police Nabs Notorious Car Thief

The arrest of a serial rapist, Jabiru Audu, 51, who defiled three minors has been made by the Katsina State Police Command Nationalwire was reliably told.

The offence allegedly committed at Tudun Yanlahidda Quarters, was reported at the Central Police Station, Katsina on the 14th July, 2020, about 18:00hrs, by Adamu Salisu ‘M’; Ibrahim Sani ‘M’ and Hajara Usman ‘F’, all of Tudun Yanlahidda Quarters, Katsina.

They had jointly reported the case that the suspect, Jabiru Audu, had on several occasions been luring and raping their young daughters (names withheld) who were between the ages of 4 –12 years old at the grandmother’s house of one of the victims, anytime she went out to hawk fried bean cake.

It was gathered that the suspect has confessed to have actually lured the young girls and had unlawful sexual intercourse with them.

Notorious car thief arrested

In another development, a notorious car thief who has been terrorizing people in Katsina and its environs has been arrested by the police.

SP Gambo Isah, the state Police Public Relations Officer, said the suspect stole a motor vehicle, Honda Civic 2000 model, ash colour and unregistered with chassis No; 5210078, and valued N570,000.

The car was said to have been stolen at the Service to Humanity Event Center, Gidan Dawa Quarters katsina on the 27th November, 2019 about 22:00hrs, based on credible intelligence.

SP Gambo further disclosed that nemesis caught up with one of the criminals, Aliyu Hussain,of Kofar Sauri Quarters, Katsina, and was arrested.

In the course of investigation, one Mati Bashir of Fagwalawa village, Danbatta LGA of Kano state and one Ibrahim Aliyu of Iyatanchi Quarters, Katsina state were also arrested in connection with the offence and have also confessed to the commission of the offence.

The suspects also confessed to have stolen at different times, two motor vehicles both at Katsina Motel and Old Government House in the state.

Investigations are said to be ongoing and the suspects would be prosecuted accordingly.
