Leaders Of Notorious Bandits Surrender 10 AK 47 Rifle To Governor Masari

In an uncommon development in crime fighting, two separate leaders of notorious bandits on Wednesday repented and surrendered 10 AK 47 to the Katsina State Governor, Hon Aminu Bello Masari, and the Commissioner of Police, Katsina state Command.

The two bandits idenfied as Sale Turwa, 30, and Muhammadu Sani Maidaji, 33, are both of Illella village, Safana Local Government Area of Katsina state.

According to the police spokesperson, SP Gambo Isah, who confirmed the breakthough explained that the syndicates have been terrorizing the state.

“Today, 4th November, 2020 about 10:00hrs, due to persistent pressure and actionable intelligence, two separate gang leaders of notorious syndicates of bandits terrorizing Katsina state, surrendered and repented.”

Others that were there to witness the handing over of the weapons included the Commander 17 Brigade, Katsina, and the Director, Department of State Security Services.

The repented bandits later handed the 10 AK 47 rifles to the Commissioner of Police as investigation is ongoing.
