How DPO Neutralised Terrorists, Recovered Rifles, 82 Cows, 72 Sheep In Sting Operation

…rescues eight kidnapped victims in Malumfashi

Following a distressed call on the 17th February, 2022 about 0040hrs, the Divisional Police Officer of Kankara led his team to ambush terrorists in their large numbers who were armed with sophisticated weapons, including AK 47 rifles, and killed two of them.

It was learnt that the criminals rode on motorbike to attack Fuloti and Karfi villages, Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State, and kidnapped women and rustled domestic animals before making an escape through Kankara LGA.

Consequently, the DPO Kankara led team, blocked the hoodlums at a spot near Zurunkutun, crossing the Kankara – Sheme road.

During a gun duel, the team engaged the terrorists and neutralized one of them, rescued four female victims and their babies, recovered one AK 47 rifle, 82 cows and 70 sheep.

Similarly, it was gathered that on Tuesday, 15th February, 2022, about 1850hrs, the DPO Kankara led a team of Policemen to Kankara – Zango Road, based on the report that terrorists have blocked the road and were extorting citizens of their belongings.

The team succeeded in dislodging the hoodlums after engaging them into a fierce gun duel. One terrorist was neutralized and one operational motorcycle, Boxer, unregistered belonging to the bandits was recovered.
