Delta loses former gov, Felix Ibru

Former governor of Delta State, Chief Felix Ovuodoroye Ibru, is dead.

Ibru,80 was the first elected governor of Delta State and Senator of the Federal Republic. He was also the President-General of the Urhobo Progressive Union until his death.

The deceased, born 7 December 1935, died after a brief illness and had contributed immensely to the Nigerian democracy and the development of his native Delta State.

He would be greatly missed.
