A scheme to help Nigerians own homes by becoming high net worth individuals has been flagged-off in Lagos, urging individuals to build their net worth in order to own homes with ease.
Speaking at a conference held at the weekend on Victoria Island, Lagos, Chief Executive Officer of Perfection Real Estate Group, Mr. Niyi Adeleye, said the group is positioned to assist Nigerians not minding their economic predicament to afford property by making them improve on their net worth.
According to him, the group has carefully studied the Nigerian economy and has known that an average Nigerian does not have what it takes to afford a home, hence its intervention to help with the scheme.
Talking about the reality of housing deficit in Nigeria which stands at about 20 million houses, Adeleye said, “We have to look at the index analysis of the economic index of the average Nigerian, when you talk about the fact that the average Nigerian doesn’t have economic power and what it takes to get a home.
“How do we solve this problem in the sense that people need to grow their economic power? They need to grow their wealth. For example, some people are civil servants who earn per month, the economy is always in a bad shape, it may not be easy for them.
“For example, before President Buhari was reelected in 2019, we were buying things cheaper than what we are now buying, it means if I kept money before 2019 and I’m still earning what I was earning, the value has dropped. So it doesn’t help me to aspire to have a roof over my head,” he said.
Continuing, Adeleye gave a practical solution.
“The solution we are offering is first of all, let us start by helping you to build wealth; our system helps us to grow wealth. The wealth is not limited to the capital you are investing.
“At a point, what you have built becomes big enough and you say you want to buy a home or buy a land. So it becomes a little bit easier for the average person because to be real, things are not getting cheaper, cement is not getting cheaper, iron rod is not getting cheaper, so what is the impact of this on the average person?
“That is why we have created a platform to help people grow wealth for some time and the wealth gets to multiply and increase in value, then you can decide to either use it as a leverage to own a home, that is the solution that we are offering,” he explained.
He also said, “We are helping investment as well. We are encouraging investment, investment is what helps you to generate wealth, all the formula of what you can use to transform your wealth is what we are doing. That is why we call it a clinic to address it in a unique way. I can prescribe what you will do to help you achieve owning a home,” he said.
On how to make people come on board, Adeleye said, his outfit is looking at making people becoming high net worth individuals which makes it easy for them to be liquid enough to get their own property.
“What we are talking about is how to become high net worth individuals through real estate. There are several avenues to becoming a high net worth individual, but the fastest way we know is real estate. That is the real way, and when we talk of real estate we talk of having investment in lands, we even promote house ownership and you are even providing homes for people,” he said.
The initiative encourages subscribers to join the club for N5,000 after which they can start to make investment which is available in different categories for an average Nigerian to be able to afford which ever payment plan is most suitable.
“You start by joining the high net worth club. When you join, there are lot of knowledge acquisition you can have to becoming a high net worth individual, that is why we have different categories so that it can help you to join.
“We are stepping a lot of things down so that an average person can be able to join, that is why we have a vision to empowering people through real estate,” he explained.
He also encouraged the participants that it is important to create wealth because nothing is going to change when one does not create wealth.
“Don’t think a miracle is going to happen or that the government will be well, instead, take practical actions,” he admonished.
Also at the event was Tinu Olayeni who is the Business Relation Director of the group who shed more lights on the investment platform.
“Today we are having the high net worth individuals’ conference, the objective is to raise high net worth individuals who have high worth in asset through the investment platform of Perfection Real Estate Group.
“We all know real estate is capital intensive and an average person wants to shy away when they hear the amount involved and hands off but in our group, we have come to demystify this even as we know it is capital intensive,” she said, concluding that, “That is why we have broken it into peace meals so that everyone can have a bite regardless of where you are in the social economic status, you have a place to fit in and with as little as N5,000 you can have a membership through our wealth creative platform.”
