The people of Biogbolo Communitiy of Yenagoa council area of Bayelsa state have commended the state governor, Senator Douye Diri for the approval and building of a new secondary school in their Communitiy.
The paramount ruler of the community, HRH Ibu Michael who spoke with Newsmen during a fact finding mission to the community hinted that though prior to the inception of the Diri’s administration there has been a secondary school coowned by the community with its neighbouring Communitiy, the recent approval, award of contract and building of a basic junior secondary school in the community by the prosperity government of senator Douye Diri has made the community felt the impact of government.
He added that the new school which is located along the Major Isaac Boro express way area of the community was a masterpiece of architecture, noting that this would boost the educational pursuit of not only the people of Biogbolo, but all children and wards residents in and around the community.
He said: “We thank Governor Diri for this new school he has built for us in this Communitiy. This would make educational pursuit very easy for our children and wards living here and around this Communitiy.
” Very soon, we know this school would be commissioned and it’s a big plus to us as a people. We now have something to show as divident of Democracy from this government.
“Governor Diri is doing very well for us. The governor is making sure that all Bayelsans prosper in all that they do, and Biogbolo Communitiy is not left out.
Meanwhile, just as the community has applauded the government on the school project, the Biogbolo people have also called on the Bayelsa state government to built a new Corpers Lodge for them.
The community said this became necessary as the old existing Community-built Corpers Lodge was demolished to make way for the new basic secondary school, saying as it is, the Biogbolo Communitiy now rent apartments at very exorbitant prices for youth corp members posted to the community, noting that this phenomenon is telling heavily on them.
It would be recalled that governor Douye Diri through the Bayelsa state Ministry of Education had built a number of new primary and post primary schools in the state.
