APC raises alarm over killings of members in Rivers

The All Progressive Congress (APC) has raised the alarm over the killings of its members in River State.

Barely 48 hours after a chieftain of the party, Franklin Obi was murdered along with his wife and son by yet to be apprehended assailant, another party member, Amachree was yesterday murdered and his body set ablaze by assailants at Buguma, Asari Toru Local Government Area of the state.

According to reports, another APC member was beaten to death in Opobo town by hoodlums operating in the area.

The killings may not be unconnected with the upcoming 19th March re-run governorship election in the state.
