Few months after the former Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF), Chief Oluyemisi Falae, was abducted and later released by Fulani herdsmen in his Ondo State farm, no fewer than 10 Fulani herdsmen have again
invaded his Ilado farm, near Akure, the Info State capital.
This time, the invaders killed one of the men of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC),
serving as security guard on the farm.
Five Fulani men suspected to be among Falae’s kidnappers for which the Ondo State government paid a ransom of N5m last year, are standing trial currently.
The identity of the dead OPC member could not
be ascertained as at press time.
Corpse of the deceased was discovered few days ago inside a pool of water few kilometers to the farm.
Fulani herdsmen reportedly stormed the farm last weekend and were restricted by the security guards engaged by Chief False, following incessant invasion of the farm.
The herdsmen, according to sources, retreated
only to surface again and reportedly kidnapped
one of the security guards on the farm.
Security guards on the farm had earlier repelled the invaders who retreated only to regroup and launched another attack during which a guard was kidnapped.
A search party after days of search later recovered the corpse of the deceased in a pool of water.
