In a tragic turn of events, a fatal car crash unfolded at Isolo Under Bridge, heading towards Oshodi, resulting in the loss of one life and leaving another individual critically injured.
Eyewitnesses reported that a Kia car bearing registration number KWL-475CZ collided with a stationary 20-foot containerized truck on the highway, while allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed. Regrettably, the collision claimed the life of a female passenger in the car, while the driver sustained severe injuries and was promptly conveyed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment.
Prompt response from emergency services including the Agency’s Cappa unit, LASTMA, and the Nigeria Police ensued, swiftly arriving at the scene to extricate the trapped individual from the wreckage. Utilizing light rescue equipment, responders successfully liberated the victim, who was then transferred to SEHMU for transportation to the morgue.
Subsequently, the wrecked vehicle has been retrieved and relocated to Olosan Police Station. Simultaneously, concerted efforts are underway to clear the abandoned containerized truck from the thoroughfare utilizing heavy-duty equipment such as a crane and lowbed, with the operation presently in progress.
