The Commander, 9 Brigade Nigerian Army, lkeja Cantonment, Brig Gen Isang Akpaumontia has said that through collaborative efforts with other security agencies especially the Nigerian Customs, a lot can be achieved in steming the nuisance value of smugglers.
He observed that Owode border has been the most peaceful among his command, even though he emphasized that it could be unpredictable but with synergy, a lot can be achieved.
The Commander spoke at Owode when he paid a courtesy visit on the Comptroller of Customs, Area Command, Owode-Idiroko, Comptroller Bamidele Abiodun Makinde.
In his response, Makinde said that with the good coperation he has enjoyed from the Acting Commanding Officer 192 Battalion (Rear), they have achieved a lot of successes.
“It is hoped that with good synergy between us, we would keep succeeding as 9 Brigade is strategic to us as we keep working together in our efforts,” Comptroller Bamidele Abiodun Makinde reiterated.
