Niger Poly Rector Gets Gov Sani- Bello’s Approval For Renewal Of Appointment

Niger State Governor,  Alhaji Abubakar Sani- Bello has approved the renewal of the appointment of the Rector, Niger State Polytechnic,  Zungeru, Dr. Umar Ahmed Egbako , for another Four years tenure and final tenure, with effect from Tuesday, June 1st, 2018.

The letter for the renewal of the appointment of the Rector of the State Polytechnic, Dr. U. A. Egbako  a copy of which was made available to newsmen in Minna on Monday, was conveyed to him on behalf of Governor Bello  by the Secretary to the  State Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Ladan Isa.

The letter read in parts, “this renewal of renewal of appointment has been taken into account, your achievements during yoir first  four years term as the Rector of the Polytechnic which is expected that you will rekindle efforts to see the Polytechnic grow to become an Institution to be reckoned with and served as reference point in terms of academic performance

“You are once again reminded to comply with the Code of Conduct requirement for declaration of Assets by Public Officers . Congratulations, ” said the SSG.

Meanwhile, in a quick reaction, to the renewal of his appointment for another four years term and final tenure by His Excellency, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State , the Rector of the  Polytechnic, Dr. Umar Ahmed Egbako, expressed his gratitude to the government and people of Niger State  for the trust they reposed in him.

He stated this in a brief interview by Telephone with the National Wire  on Monday in Minna, saying , “I am very grateful to God,for making it possible”.

“I am also grateful to his Excellency , the Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello for considering me worthy to serve for the second term. I promised not to let the government and  people of Niger State down”, said Dr. Egbako.
