JFC to Celebrate International Women’s Day with Media-Focused Fellowship in Lagos

Journalists For Christ (JFC) is set to hold its March fellowship in celebration of International Women’s Day, bringing together media professionals and thought leaders for a session focused on impact-driven leadership.

The event, with the theme “Give to Gain: Give Support, Gain Impact – Bible Takeaways for Media Leaders and Organisations,” will explore the role of sacrificial support, collaboration, and faith-based principles in shaping responsible and impactful media practice.

Scheduled to take place on Saturday 21st March at 11:00 a.m., the fellowship will be held at the JFC office, located at 14, Fadare Street, Ogba, Lagos State.

The programme will feature a panel of accomplished women from media background, including Betty Abah, accomplished journalist and Executive Director of CEE-HOPE; Pearl Ngwama, Managing Editor of JustNet News; Yinka Fadare, Assistant Editor-in-Chief at the News Agency of Nigeria; and Amina Hassan, an educator and school proprietress. The panelists are expected to share insights on leadership, service, and the intersection of faith and media practice.

The session will be moderated by Gbenga Osinaike, Publisher of Church Times Nigeria, who will guide discussions around practical ways media professionals and organisations can give support within their spheres and, in turn, create lasting impact.

According to the organisers, the fellowship aims to inspire journalists and media stakeholders to adopt values that promote growth, accountability, and positive societal influence, in line with biblical teachings.

The event is open to members of the media, faith-based communicators, and the general public interested in leveraging media for development and nation-building.

Journalists For Christ is the association for Christian journalists and allied professionals in Nigeria with members across media organisations.
