A woman, Mrs. Grace Abiola Oguntade has testified of how God wiped her tears with five children in two years after a 20 year-long barrenness. Oguntade shared her testimony at the annual 365 Hallelujah event organised by Joy Cometh Ministries, at the Ikorodu town hall Friday 1st December.
The event, in its sixth year attracted worshipers from Nigeria and beyond to the Ikorodu town hall filled to capacity. Several tens of thousands gathered at the overstretched facility which also witnessed crowds spilling to the adjourning streets.
Founding pastor of the host Joy Cometh Ministries, Pastor Olaitan Aromolaran twice during the event appologised to participants who had to seat on the ground as chairs provided at the event were exhausted.
“I sincerely apologise to our brethren sitting on the bare ground, we are not taking you for granted. We tried our possible best to provide comfortable seats for every worshiper but our best was not enough as all the chairs we got are now occupied.”
He however prayed for the worshipers that they would not miss their reward for seeking the Lord.
In her testimony to the goodness of God, Oguntade told National Wire after the event a bit of what she went through during her 20 years of waiting.
“It was tough. I was never pregnant during the ordeal, it wasn’t that I had miscarriage. I cannot just explained all that I went through but I never gave up. I trusted God to the end and He answered me,” she said.
Narrating her ordeal further, she said, “I was humiliated, people tried to discourage me. I got married in 1995 and my friends who got married same year already had grown up children while I was still waiting. I love children and I continued to gather children around me and making them comfortable. Children from the church, children of friends and family members were always made comfortable around me and I believed God would answer me and He eventually did.”
Narrating earlier in the service during the testimony, Oguntade who had a set of twins in 2015 and later had a set of triplets in 2017, narrated how she developed faith at the 2014 edition of 365 Hallelujah night.
“I was here in 2014 and all the 365 hallelujahs we shouted, my tummy was on the bare ground, I was shouting the hallelujah and trusting God He would bless me with children,” she said.
She also testified to the goodness of God who delivered her safely during the delivery of the triplets. “It was not easy at all. At a point I went to meet Pastor Olaitan in his office for prayers. I wanted the children out by all means because of the pains I had but God saw me through all the challenges,” she said.
Other worshipers testified to the glory of God during the testimony segment after which several ministrations were done through the night. Anointed ministers of God took turn to lead the congregation in series of ministrations in the word of God and prayers.
Also, several performances by the 1,000 mass choir, drama and dance groups, kept the congregation in the presence of God which enveloped the whole environs through the night and early morning of Saturday.
According to speculations, about 100,000 persons participated at the vigil where a total of 365 hallelujah were ministered to the praise of God for each of the days in the upcoming 2018.
Pastor Olaitan Aromolaran however concluded the ministrations with terrific prophetic declarations into the lives of the people. According to him, the coming year would bring forth much joy and gladness as God is out to step into the matters of the people because of their obedience to shout 365 hallelujah to Him.
