VFD Group Plc Unveils “A New Dawn” Strategy, Reports

VFD Group Plc, a leading proprietary investment company listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), held its 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) virtually, attended by shareholders, regulators, directors, government representatives, and the media.

Chairman Olatunde Busari highlighted the company’s strategic transformation over the past three years, positioning itself for accelerated performance in 2024.

Key milestones achieved in 2023 include a 33% increase in gross earnings to ₦45.1 billion and a 45% asset growth to ₦219.4 billion.

The Board recommended a bonus share of 4 new shares for every 1 share held, approved by shareholders.

Group Managing Director Nonso Okpala outlined the company’s “A New Dawn” strategy, marking a critical growth phase from 2024 to 2029. The plan includes a new shareholder structure, refined investment philosophy, and redefined corporate culture.

The company plans to raise an additional ₦30 billion to strengthen its financial position and support future initiatives.

The meeting ended with appreciation to management, staff, and stakeholders for their support, and reassurance of continued commitment to strengthening stakeholder relations and business performance.
