University Student Arrested For Kissing A Minor In Viral Video

A 400-level Botony undergraduate of the Lagos State University (LASU) has been arrested by the police in Lagos this morning for kissing a three-year-old step sister which he posted on social media.

Adeyeye Oluwatosin, 23 years old of Kajola Street, Shagamu, Ogun State said he actually kissed his step sister but he was only playing with her in the presence of his siblings.

Appealing to the public for offending their sensibility with the video, Oluwatosin explained that he had no bad intention but was just playing with the little girl.

He added that as soon as he posted it on her WhatsApp profile than a lady accused him of being a rapist but didn’t know that she had copied the video and reposted it somewhere.

However, the Lagos State Police spokesperson, DSP Elkana Bala explained on Friday that the attention of the force was drawn to the video of the incident which happened on the 2nd June, 2020 in their residence at Shagamu.

As a result, the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu mandated the detectives from the Gender Unit to analyse the video and apprehend the suspect.

He further revealed that Oluwatosin has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba for diligent prosecution in Court.
