Two Weeks Ultimatum: Nigerian Navy Ref. Hospital To Give Mass Burial To Unclaimed Corpses

The Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, Ojo has given two weeks ultimatum to families that deposited corpses in their mortuary between August 2018 to December 2025, to claim their remains or stand the risk of having such corpses committed to mass burial after the expiration of the notice.

In a statement signed by the Commander, NN Reference Hospital, Ojo said that members of the public whose deceased relatives were deposited in the Mortuary of the NNRH,Ojo, to come and claim them with proof within two weeks.

It further reiterated that “The Hospital would liaise with the appropriate government authorities immediately after this deadline to conduct a mass burial for the unclaimed bodies without further recourse to the families or relatives.”
