Two Fake Soldiers Nabbed In Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command have arrested two (2) persons that have been impersonating men of the Nigeria Army in order to extort and maltreat innocent people in Agbado area of Ogun State.

According to the state police public relations officer, ASP Abumbola Oyeyemi, Joseph David and Adebayo Olanrewaju Ojoye were arrested following a complain from one Barrister Paul Oniyo and Chima Solomon that the two suspects with military camouflage accosted them, beat them up and inflicted injuries on them over a minor disagreement.

Oyeyemi said when DPO of Agbado Division, CSP Abioye Shittu got the complain, he led detectives to the scene where the suspects were arrested and brought to the station. On interrogation, it was discovered that the two acclaimed military men were mere impostor thriving on illegality for sustenance.

Recovered from them are various military hard wares, cap and camp bed.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
