Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bayelsa State Chapter, Barr. George Turnah has hailed the appointment of Hon. Aaron Chukwuemeka as Federal Commissioner representing Rivers State in the Federal Character Commission by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Turnah who also commended the President for the reappointment of Dr. Tonye Okio as Commissioner representing Bayelsa State in a statement by his Media Aide, Pst. Kelvin Loveday-Egbo described the appointments as well deserved, noting that the appointment of the duo was a testament to their unwavering commitment to public service and their dedication to the principles of our greatness.
He in particular lauded Chukwuemeka for his willingness to render service and dedication to the greatness of the Peoples Democratic Party’s principles of unity and greater good.
The PDP Chieftain also expressed the optimism that Okio’s reappointment will enable him continue to render his vital service of advocating for Bayelsa’s interests in the Commission by ensuring fair representation.
He said: “These appointments mark significant steps forward in fostering equity and inclusivity. I’ve confidence that both Hon. Chukwuemeka and Dr Okio will excel in their roles and contribute positively to the governance and development of our country, Nigeria.
