IPPIS: Strike Looms As FG Stops Lecturers’ Salary
The Federal Government has disclosed that over 96,090 (70 percent) out of about 137,016 (less than 30 percent) of university lecturers have already enrolled in the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS), urging ASUU to encourage the remaining 40,926 members to comply with the process.

As an alternative to Integrated Personnel Payroll System( IPPIS) the Academic Staff Union of the Universities( ASUU) may have decided to propose to the Federal Government, ‘Nigerian Universities Transparency and Accountability System(NUTAS) in an attempt to bring an end to the ongoing logjam between the Union and the Federal Government over the perceived forceful enrolment of the Union’s members to the Integrated Personnel Payroll System by both the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) in collaboration with the Federal Government.
