Suicide bomber gunned down in UNIMAID

A suicide bomber who would have caused another mayhem at the University of Maiduguri was last night gunned down by troops on duty.

The messenger of death gained entrance through the works department on Sunday, it was confirmed.

Public Relations Officer of the school, Tanko Ahmed confirmed the incidence to newsmen. He said the suicide bomber had already entered the University through the back gate around 11pm Sunday night before being gunned down.

The area has since been cordoned off by security agents for maximum safety. “The area has been cordoned off by security agents,” he said, recalling that the campus has been lately attacked by the terrorist in recent times.
