Subsidy: Niger State Governor Assures CNG Powered Vehicles For Commuters

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has reiterated his commitment  to come up with gas operating vehicles for inter and intra- city services across the state.

The Governor explained that this  is to reduce the high cost of Premium Motor Spirit(PMS) powered/operating  vehicles and ammeliorate the sufferings of ordinary Nigerians residents in  the state as a result of Federal Government decision to remove  fuel recently.

The Governor made the disclosure   at the official swearing in of newly appointed Commissioners and Special Advisers at a well attended   ceremony held at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre in Minna on Monday, adding that the transport fares would be at a reduced cost when the scheme come on board

Governor Umaru Bago however appeaeled to Nigerlites to be patient with his administration in the state  over the hardship being experienced by the citizenry,  stressing that efforts were on by government to provide Palliatives to mitigate their sufferings.

Accoding to him the welfare of people of Niger state will continue to be accorded paramount attention by his government as a deliberate step towards  improving  and enhancing their living standards for maximum benefits.

The Governor  also charged the newly sworn in members of the state executive council and the Special Advisers to always visit their localities with a view to touching   the lives of its people at the grassroots in a more positive way.

Responding on behalf of Commissiners and Special Advisers,  the Commissioner of Lands and Survey Barrister Moriss Bello Magaji assured that  they will serve with dignity, respect and humilty while emphasizing that they will not disappoint the Governor and the good people of the state.

Barrister Morice Bello Magaji gave an assurance that they will  remain loyal to the policies and programmes of Governor Mohammed Umaru -led administration to perform creditably to the admiration of Nigerlites.

They were sworn by the representative of the State Chief Judge,  Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik
