Stewardship of Money a Representation of Values—Paul Adefarasin

Senior Pastor of House on The Rock, Paul Adefarasin has drawn a synergy between how leaders uses funds in the church as a true reflection of what they are and what they stand for in Christ.

The clergy said when leaders in the body of Christ have the fear of God, expending church monies will be done in the appropriate way.

Speaking at the Sunday Celebration Service, and while addressing attendees during the recently concluded House on The Rock’s Purpose and Destiny Conference held at its Headquarters Church Lekki, Lagos themed, Finding, Living and Fulfilling your Purpose and Destiny, Adefarasin said “The way you handle the stewardship of money is a representation of your values. When you have your values rooted in Christ, you will use your money the right.

It will be recalled that, the event which began on Wednesday May 3rd, came to a close with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, May 7th, 2017.

Specifically, in attendance at the conference were several ministers of God and Christian clerics including, founder of International Central Gospel Church headquartered in Accra, Ghana, Pastor Mensah Otabil, founder and Senior pastor of Living Word Christian Center, Dr. Bill Winston. Others were the Presiding Bishop of the Redeemed Envangelical Mission (TREM), Bishop Mike Okonkwo, Bishop Tudor Bismark the Senior pastor of New Life Covenant Church and Rev. Funke Felix-Adejumo of Agape Ministries as well as the president of Funke Felix Adejumo Foundation.

Music was by a number of international and indigenous artistes which included Nathaniel Bassey, Gabriel Eziashi, Sammie Okposo, Onos Ariyo, Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir and many more.

Dr. Bill Winston speaking on restoring the years said “It’s going to take absolute faith in God to do what He has called you for. Do not impede your success by shrinking God to something small. He’s a lot bigger and more capable than what you constrain Him to within your mind.”

Bishop Mike Okonkwo speaking on the Grace to Fulfil Destiny said “Enjoy your Christianity and live in liberty because He loves you unconditionally and His thoughts towards you are only of good; to bring you to an expected end”.

Dr. Mensa Otabil speaking on the rules to adopt in the Corridors of Power said “Transformation is about engaging the world’s systems to change it; not participating in its sin. We have to engage the world”.

Speaking on the need for our generation to do the right thing, Bishop Tudor Bismark said “Wealth is for stewardship and God wants you to be wealthy. God is ready to move you to your purpose and that purpose is a wealthy place”.

Funke Felix Adejumo speaking on ‘Destiny Here I Come’ said “Throughout your life journey, you will need people. Life is about relationships. It is therefore important that you learn how to manage your relationships correctly.”

The five- day Conference ended on a great note with power, inspirational and great insights in the Word of God due to teachings by the senior pastors who spoke at the conference. Several participants gave their lives to Jesus Christ, with believers inspired to take the centre stage within the different pillars of the society. There were also teachings to inspire and challenge the nation and its transformation.
