General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has encouraged Christians not to be stingy but learn to serve God with their money.
The preacher made the call at the grandfinale of the two days crusade, ‘It Is Time for God To Bless You’, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June, at the Chosen Revival Ground, Ijesha, Lagos.
Pastor Muoka in his message, reminded of how a sister dreamt and was told by an angel that members of the church were stingy and do not give their tithes, hence their unnecessary sufferings.
He lamented how some Christians misuse God’s blessings, backslide and become regular visitors at different clubs, upon receiving financial blessings; instead of provoking God positively by giving to the propagation of the gospel.
Calling individuals to true repentance and assurance of God’s blessings, he noted that God specialises in doing good and blessing His people, as recorded in the scriptures.
Prior to delivering the sermon, Muoka threw the congregation into loud jubilation when he presented a gift of jeep to an 80 years woman and a member of the church, whom he identified as “Mama Festac, an evangelist of note”.
Calling her forth to the front of the altar to be rewarded of her evangelism, he said, “Now your jeep is waiting for you, for being an evangelist of note, we hand you this key.”
In her remarks at the service, the elected ‘Mama FESTAC’ who spoke with the church media, said that it gives her joy to bring people to Chosen to receive salvation from God.
“Any day I didn’t go our for my morning cry, I will remain restless for the whole of that day. Preaching is my chosen vocation that I do with ease and relief
“The gift I received for my GO (highlander jeep) I’m grateful and honored but my prayers for my converts is that they remain steadfast in faith and triumph at the end,” she said.
