The Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, has condoled with the family of the late former Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, on behalf of the Police Ecosystem. Arase, who also served as Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), passed away today.
In a letter of condolence, Senator Gaidam described Arase’s death as a great loss to the nation, the Police Ecosystem, and the government.
He acknowledged Arase’s significant contributions to the protection of lives and property, particularly his role in the transparent recruitment of 2024 police constables.
The Minister praised Arase’s dedication to public service and his commitment to the security sector, saying, “His legacy will live on through his tireless efforts and commitment to the people.”
According to him, the Ministry of Police Affairs and stakeholders share in the moment of grief and sorrow with the Arase family, the people of Edo State, and the entire country.
Senator Gaidam offered deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, saying, “In this time of grief, we offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Arase. His contributions to our nation will not be forgotten.”
