The Sangana Kingdom in the Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State has lauded the crime fighting capabilities of the Professional Hunters Association of Nigeria, PROHAN.
National Wire learnt that PROHAN is a community based security outfit which combats crime in the state.
The kingdom gave the commendation during a meeting that was organized by its Council of Chiefs in which they expressed satisfaction over the in-take of some of its citizens by the security outfit.
A Press statement by the Bayelsa State Public Relations Officer of PROHAN, Mr. Daniel Domotimi noted that security is everybody’s business.
The statement read in parts: “Receiving the inductees and the entourage of the Deputy National Coordinator of the Parlarmilitary Organization, Chief Michael Chukwuemeka, the Chairman Sangana Council of Chiefs (SNCC), Chief C.O. Abel-Bahuo assured PROHAN of all necessary support in the eradication of crime.
The statement also quoted the kingdom to have expressed their worries over the delays in the security outfit metamorphosing into a full blown one which will indeed assist the Nigerian Police Force in the fight against insecurity in the country.
The statement further reads: “We know that creating the outfit is one thing but providing the needed community policing to the fullest is the main deal.
“I urge you all to replicate the success that was recorded during the Okodia/Zarama Operations which had resulted to absolute piece”.
National Wire learnt that the organization was formed across the 36 state of the federation in 2016 and was inaugurated by Major General Buratai, former Chief of Army Staff.
