SACA Donates Branded Note Books, T-Shirts To Bayelsa State Students

A non-governmental organization, Stakeholders alliance for corporate accountability (SACA) has donated SACA branded note books and T-shirts to the Bayelsa Ministry Of Education for distribution to students in both public and private schools in the state.

SACA Executive Director said: “This is not the first time SACA is giving these branded books and T-shirt to students. Last year, we collaborated with Bayelsa State Ministry of Education, Bayelsa State Ministry of Environment, Bayelsa State Ministry of Health, Catholic Education Board and NAPPS to enlighten students on effects oil spills on environment and humans. In the event, we also shared T-shirts and books to students.

“We will contribute to healthy societal development because of considerable cooperation we have been receiving from Bayelsa State Ministry of Education. During our campaign, ast year, the Hon. Commissioner of Education directed schools that SACA established Child Safeguarding clubs to allow students wear the SACA branded environmental campaign T-shirts to school once a week to broaden public awareness on ills linked to high exposure to crude oil.

“As students wear the T-shirt s to schools, they unconciously educate their peers, members of their households and the general public as they openly display the campaign messages on their T-shirts.” This is just one of our efforts to support the government to promote safer society.”
