The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Rivers of Life Parish, Lagos Province 17, Alagbado, on Sunday distributed food items to no fewer than 150 members of the church.
Pastor in Charge of Zone, Olayori Iyiola, said that the distribution of food items was to cushion the effect of Coronavirus pandemic.
Iyiola said that there was the need to show love and care to our fellow human beings in time of need.
The pastor further said that the message of Easter was about love.
“If Jesus do not love us. He would not have died for us on the cross.
“The essence of Easter is to share the little things each of us have with the people who do not have anything,” he said.
Iyiola said that the little given to the people would go a long way to influence their lives positively.
Mr. Adeola Bamidele, a beneficiary who spoke on behalf of others, commended the church for the good gesture.
Bamidele said that emulating such gesture by other religious bodies would go a long way in bringing more people to Christ.
It was gathered that rice, beans, gari and palm oil are among food items shared to members.
