Police Smashes Payton, Vikings Confraternity Cult Members In Anambra

The Anambra Police Command in the early hours of today, 28th February, 2021 about 6:20am, operatives attached to the Command Special Anti-Cult unit (SPACS) arrested three notorious cultists following raids conducted at their hideouts.

The suspects whose arrest was made possible after receiving credible intelligence report include
Ogonna Uche Joel, 18, of Amawbia in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State; Ebube Ogonna, 19, of same address, and Onwuamaeze Arinze, 25, of Amawa village,Ogbunike in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State. All are male.

CSP Haruna Mohammed, spokesperson of Anambra State Police Command, in a statement on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, said the suspects have confessed to be members of “PAYTON” and “VIKINGS CONFRATERNITY”.

They would be charged to court for prosecution after conclusion of investigation.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Bala Kuryas, further reassure all Ndi Anambra that the Command would continue to work assiduously until crime in the State is reduced to the barest minimum.

The CP also implored well meaning members of the Public resident in the State to co-oporate with the Police and report suspicious person(s) or movement(s) to the nearest Police Station or through the Command emergency number 112 or call 07039194332 for prompt response.
