Police Hit Criminals Hard, Arrest Robbers, Cultists In Sapele, Ogwashi-Uku …Recovers Several Offensive Weapons

The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Police Command, CP Ari Mohammed Ali has said that the relentless efforts of his officers and men have led to the relative peace in the state.
While breifing the press on Tuesday in Asaba, Ali said “under my watch, we have been working 24/7 with a view to seeing that the state is safe for all.
“In light of the menace caused by cultists in Sapele and Ogwashi-uku axis, I deployed Tactical teams to the affected areas and other parts of the state with a view to restoring peace in the affected areas.
“Some of the achievements from the operations led to the arrest of cultists and other miscreants.”
CP Ali disclosed that on the 15th August, 2021 about 0230hrs, the police stormed into some group of suspected Armed robbers/Kidnappers in their criminal hideout at Ogorode Sapele. 
 
During the operation, it was learnt, five suspects identified as Nelson Ofurhie, 40 years; Efe Adams, 32 years, Williams Onufuevue, 46 years, Enajitu Itiefie, 37 years and Oghenero Eruteta, 37 years were arrested.
 
Further investigation led to the recovery of several exhibits from them. One AK 47 rifle with breech No. KT1921, one locally fabricated AK47 rifle,  two pump action gun,  two locally made single barrel gun,  47  rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, some quantity of hard drugs, one ash colour Mercedes Benz Jeep with Reg. No: AFZ 735 HW, one white colour Lexus Jeep with Reg. No. KUJ 983 NW and one ash colour Corolla car with Reg. No: SAP 911 MX.  
Similarly, in another operation on 14th August, 2021 about 2300hrs, a Toyota Sienna Sedan car with Reg. No: AJL 330 PC Silver colour was removed from where it was parked at Amichi in Anambra state and that the vehicle was heading to Asaba.
 
The DPO ‘A’ Division Asaba led his men and located the vehicle at Elemedo Hotel Bonsac Asaba. 
Unfortunately for the robbers, three suspects namely: Oyinaya Augustine, 48 years, Bishop Ifeanyi Eneh of Ikotun Egbe Lagos state and Lilian Eze, 27 years were arrested. 
 
It was learnt that the suspect has been a popular notorious car snatcher who was sometimes arrested in November 2010 and charged to court in Anambra.
 
It was further disclosed that he has been in the business of car snatching for the past 20 years.  
 
The CP however revealed that the other suspect, Bishop, has always been his lawyer who uses human Rights to attack law enforcement agencies from arresting and prosecuting the said suspect and he was to take the vehicle to Lagos before luck ran out of him and was caught in the act. 
 
Also arrested by Ogwashi-uku patrol teams and vigilante after a raid at Agidiese Quarters led to the arrest of 12 suspected cult members.
Among them included Chiedu Ewuzie; Bright Ushiagwu aka Small, and Nnamdi Okocha all male belonging to a dreaded arrow barger cult group.
They have been on the run after they allegedly murdered one Ifeanyi Umeadi sometimes in July 2021 at Ogbeofu quarters in Ogwashi Uku.
It was also disclosed by CP Ari Mohammed Ali that nine of the suspected cultists have been charged to court, while the other three murder suspects are still undergoing investigation.
