President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the immediate disengagement of the controversially reappointed Acting Director in the Ministry of Interior, Abdulrasheed Maina,from service.
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina, who made this known on Monday via a Twitter message, also said the President “asks for full report on circumstances of his recall.”
It is recalled that the Minister of Interior, retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, on Sunday confirmed the resumption of duty by Maina, in a statement to journalists.
He was former Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms before he was embroiled in corruption allegations.
