PDP Is No Threat To APC In Niger State -Bago/ Yakubu Campaign DG

The Niger State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said  that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not a threat to its victory in the upcoming 2023 general elections.

The party stated this while speaking through the Director-General of the Bago/Yakubu Governorship Campaign Directorate, Alhaji  Isah Sidi Rijau, while speaking during  the opening of a two-day retreat organised for members of the directorate on Thursday in Minna the State capital

Rijau, however  dismissed the euphoria that heralded  the PDP boasting that “we will win all the elections in a landslide.”

He insisted that the main opposition party,  the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP)  is not in any way a threat to our victory,” Rijau stated further  but however charged   members of the directorate not to be complacent, saying, “We need to put in more efforts to ensure all our candidates win all their elections from the top to bottom.”

He ointed out that  the essence of the retreat was to brainstorm and come up with strategies to be adopted for a successful campaign and elections.

One of the leaders of the party, Major Gen. Mohammed Garba (rtd) advocated for peaceful campaign by its members, hilighting that,  “we should not allow ourselves to be misled into going against the law.”

Garba explained that the retreat would come out with new strategies for the second phase of the presidential, national and state assemblies as well as governorship elections in the State.
