Ondo Gov’s Special Adviser, Ariyomo Buries Mum 29th February

Special Adviser to the Ondo State governor on Energy, Engineer Tunji Light Ariyomo has announced the arrangements ahead of his mother’s burial.

Mrs. Elizabeth Ariyo died peacefully in her sleep on 15th January in Akure the Ondo State capital and the family has announced the burial arrangement as scheduled for Saturday 29th February 2020 in Akure.

Ariyomo who is the former National President of the Nigerian Kungfu Federation, has been actively involved in the political scene in Ondo State since the return of democracy in Nigeria. He has also contributed immensely to the development of the state in different spheres.

Madam Elizabeth, a devout member of the Jehovah’s Witness organisation was in her prime a pioneer staff of Ado Ekiti textile where she served as a line superintendent.

She later became a major distributor to UAC and other leading brands in the old Ondo Province.

Dignitaries from all walks of life including Venerable Ope Kujero an Archdeacon in  the Anglican Communion in Iju Ondo State, Alj. Qazeem Yayi Akorede, the Chief Imam of Akure kingdom and Hon. Sunday Ifedayo Abegunde, the Secretary to the Government of Ondo State among others, have payed condolence visits to Mama’s children.

Describing his late mother as a loving and caring mother per excellence, Ariyomo said they were all surprised at her passage as she was never sick before going to bed that fateful night.

Ariyomo’s elder brother, Surveyor Abiodun Oyedokun who is a Dean of faculty at his institution described his mother as a highly spiritual and caring individual who catered for the well-being of the less privileged.

Similarly, Mama Elizabeth Ariyo’s eldest daughter, Mrs. Mosunmola Irigo, a nurse, described her mother as a highly spiritual woman who prioritized God and faith in God’s kingdom over  and above earthly pursuits.
