NSE Market Indicators Went Down By 0.37 Percent On Monday

Activities on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) went down by 0.37 percent on Monday 25th, September 2017, bringing the year to date return to 31.57 percent.

Specifically, the All Share Index closed at 35,358.73 against the previous close of 35,488.81 while Market Capitalization closed at N12.189 trillion against previous close of N12.234 trillion.

Volume traded decreased by 44.25 percent from 192.204 million to 107.148 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 62.84 percent from N3.679 billion to N1.367 billion in 2,848 deals.

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 64.173 million shares exchanged for N0.321 billion. Industrial Goods came next with 21.598 million shares traded for N0.069 billion, Conglomerates, Consumer Goods, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.

Meyer Plc, FCMB Holding Plc, Niger Insurance Plc, FBN Holding Plc, and Transnational Corporation Plc were the most active stocks by volume. Fidson Healthcare Plc, Newrest ASL Nigeria Plc formally Air service & Logistic Plc, Custodian & Allied Insurance Plc, Eterna Oil Plc and C & I Leasing emerged the highest price gainers.

while Jaiz Bank Plc, Skye Bank Plc, Neimeth Pharmaceutical Plc, United Bank for Africa Plc, and Lafarge Africa Plc formally Wapco topped the losers table. In all 103 companies stocks were traded with 19 gainers and 17 losers. 67 companies share price remained unchanged at the close of business on Monday.
