NSCDC Impounds Truck Containing 24,000 Litres Of PMS

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command has impounded a white truck, with plate number: MUS – 385XK LAGOS, containing about 24,000 litres of Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) in the Baruwa Area in Alimosho Local Government Area of the state.

The suspected vandals were said to have taken to their heels when they sighted the securitymen.

Confirming the development, the spokesperson of the Corps, ASCI Abolurin Oluwasegun Olumide explained that the truck was impounded on Monday midnight by the combined team of NSCDC, Nigerian Navy (NN) and Department of State Security (DSS) while the truck was on the right of way in Baruwa Area, Alimosho LGA in Lagos.

He further added that the truck has been taken to the Lagos State Command Headquarters while necessary investigation and legal action is been taken accordingly.

Also NNPC has been alerted and informed to come for evacuation because of the inflammable nature of the content in it.
