Special Assistant to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (SATGO) on Administration, Pastor Oladele Balogun has implored Nigerians to ditch negative confessions and reasoning, stressing that it was not yet over as the present situation in the country is not beyond divine reversal.
Balogun who doubles as the Pastor-in-charge of RCCG Region 1, National Headquarters, Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, urged cooperation in complimenting government’s efforts, while noting that government has to do more in tackling the challenges on ground and moving Nigeria forward.
In his address on Friday ahead of the church’s Thanksgiving service, tagged ‘Divine Intervention’ holding Sunday July 6, Balogun made known that the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has
undertaken to lead prayers
for national economic restoration and enlargement, as Nigeria needs
transformation into the realm of divine opportunities.
To this end, he said it was necessary to have all stakeholders of the economy
adequately represented in the spiritual intercessory effort concerning Nigeria.
Adding that managers and players in the economic sector, those whose capacities and capabilities are yet to be fully
deployed in the economy, either unemployed or under employed,
fresh/intending entrants into the economy (youth corp members), every
citizen, persons and families of diverse trades and backgrounds, earning
a living in Nigeria are also expected at the programme.
Balogun stated:”Our nation, Nigeria as well as other nations of the world are going
through challenging time. However, the good news is that these
challenges are surmountable by faith, if we do not entertain doubt.
“As citizens and stakeholders in Nigeria, we need to drop the garb of negative confessions and plug into the mystery of faith and positive reasoning, to drive positive action, towards moving Nigeria forvward. The leadership is putting in everything the team can humanly do.
However, a lot of ground still needs to be covered for a nation as big as Nigeria.
“Beloved, as it is today, Nigeria needs Divine Intervention in her economy
to plug into divine possibilities as revealed by God. Yes, Nigeria is in dire straits, but God has reversed worse situations in the
past.
“I passionately implore all Nigerians to have faith in God based on His inexhaustible abilities. We trust He can and will reverse whatever has defied several efforts in the past.”
