The Commissioner of Police Niger State Command, Mr. Austin Iwero Agbonlahor, has approved the posting of an Assistant Superintendent of Police {ASP} Comfort Olawumi as Police Public Relations Officer of the Command.
He stated this in a Press statement obtained by the NationalWire over the weekend in Minna, the state capital, adding that ASP Olawumi holds a Bachelor of Science Degree {Bsc} in Economics from University of Ilorin, Kwara State.
The release stated further that the new Image Maker of the Command enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on 09/07/2012 as Cadet ASP and had served in various capacities prior to this appointment.
NationalWire learnt that ASP Comfort Olawumi is the second Female Spokesperson of the State Police Command and the 25th Officer to serve in that capacity since the Creation of Niger State in 1976.
CP, Agbonlahor noted that until her posting as the Image Maker of the Command last Thursday, that she was the Divisional Crime Officer{DCO} “A” Division, Suleja.
The posting of the new PPRO, was one of the major decisions taken by the Police Boss, Agbonlahor since he took over from his predecessor, CP, Zubairu Muazu, now the Commissioner of Police, Akwa- Ibom State Command, precisely on July 4th, 2017.
