Niger PDP, Blames APC Senators, Reps Members For Playing Ostrich Over Federal Roads

Olabode Adaramola

The Niger State’s chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) has expressed disappointment over a perceived   hypocritical Press statement credited to some Senators and members of the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressive Congress( APC)  from the state.

The party,  in a statement signed by it’s  state Chairman, Barr. Tanko Beji, said it finds the federal  lawmakers   statement rather  too late, belated and unfortunate that the federal legislators  had to wait till the youths took to the roads in their numbers and caused  blockades on the highways , describing it  as an act of lawmakers abandoning their functions of representing the people who voted them into power.

According to him “as if to add salt to fresh  injuries, the lawmakers neither admonished, pressurized President Muhammadu   Buhari nor the State Governor, Alhaji  Abubakar Sani Bello who has become synonymous with “No Project”,  but with  penchants for flying  Chartered private  Jets and watching Chelsea Football Club, in London.”

Beji, added that the PDP cannot situate the statement coming from the federal lawmakers, but sees it as playing the ostrich who hides its head in the sands  and leaving it’s whole body outside.

“It is very clear to the PDP and Nigerlites that the APC, Governor Bello and their party’s lawmakers have nothing to offer other than a sing along the cacophony of useless noise”, he maintained .
