Niger Gov. Umaru Bago Receives Award Of Excellence In Governance 

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has been honoured with an award of excellence in governance by the National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO).

The award was presented to the Governor during the 2025 National Political Summit( Ekiti 2025) put together by the National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations, which was held in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

President, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Ekiti State Chapter, Dr. Ahmed Afolabi Bakare who presented the award to the Governor said, the honour is in recognition of the Governor’s outstanding leadership and transformative governance.

Governor Bago who appreciated the Organisation for the award said, it will only spur him to do more in serving humanity.

Represented by the Director-General of the Niger State Bureau for Religious Affairs, Malam Umar Faruk Abdullahi, the Governor used the forum to call on members of the Islamic Organisation to be seen as leaders with integrity and deep sense of responsibility in the eye of the public.

Governor Bago urged them to be advocates of change, competence, and development while also calling on them to be part of builders of a society that will be fully sustainable and economically vibrant.

The theme for 2025 National Political Summit of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations NACOMYO is, “Empowering Muslims for Sustainable Development; lessons from history, realities of today and vision for the future”.
