Niger APC Governorship Candidate,Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago Says He Will Increase State’s IGR To #30 Billion If Elected State Governor Next Year

The Governorship candidate on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State against the 2023 general elections in the country  and member of House of Representatives representing Chanchaga constituency from Niger state Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago has said that he will increase the Internally Generated Revenue IGR of the state from current N12billion  to N30billion if he emerged as an elected Governor in the state next year

He stated this during an interactive session with Journalists at the Niger State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists,  IBB Pen House on Monday  in  Minna the state capital.

Hon.Mohammed Umar  Bago said he will come up with a robust plan that will revive the economy as well as fortunes  of Niger state.

Though he did not give further details of his blueprints,  the Federal Law Maker however said he has a blueprint in which he will unveil soon.

Hon. Mohammed Umar  Bago also spoke of his  plans to establish the Media city in Minna that would comprise of accommodation and Institute of Media from primary school, post Primary school up  till  Tertiary Institutions where Journalism will be adequately taught by Professional Journalists working in the state if he becomes an elected Governor in the state in the next political dispensation.

He added that he will also establish  state of the arts studios for broadcast media and sports complex will be in place to achieve the desired objective.

The APC Gubernatorial Flagbearer in the state in thefortgcoming Governorship election in the state thereby  applauded the Niger State Governor Alhaji  Abubakar Sani Bello for being the most celebrated Governor in Nigeria at the moment following his recent decision at  providing a level playing field for contestants during the just concluded APC Governorship primaries in the state.
