The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Tor Uja, has disclosed that the Commission will commence its 2017 Easter pilgrimage to Israel from 8th -30th April, 2017.
The NCPC boss in a statement explained that this year’s Easter pilgrimage is designed to afford Christians and all intending pilgrims the opportunity to encounter Christ during the Easter season.
Despite the inflation and cost of dollar, the pilgrimage leaders have resolved that the cost of Easter pilgrimage will still remain at ₦473,000 only, and pilgrims would be entitled to BTA at CBN approved rates.
All Christians are urged to take advantage of this unique opportunity and begin to register. Registration begins now.
Rev. Uja urged Christians and intending pilgrims to contact NCPC and State Christian Pilgrim Welfare Boards and licensed Christian Pilgrimage Operator for the pilgrims’ applications and for more enquires.
The NCPC boss assured all intending pilgrims that the Commission would do everything possible to ensure that this year’s edition of Easter pilgrimage would be a hitch free exercise.
PROPOSED 2017 PILGRIMAGE BOUQUET
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission in preparation for its 2017 Christian Pilgrimage Exercise to Israel Rome and Greece has introduced various pilgrimage Programmes to strengthen the entire pilgrimage process in line with the ongoing repositioning strategy of the commission.
The Executive Secretary, Rev. Tor Uja in a statement said the programmes were introduced to ensure that every Christian is given the opportunity to participate in pilgrimage.
He informed that the Commission will now run nine pilgrimage programmes in one calendar year. The breakdown of the programmes is as follows; Easter Pilgrimage which will be held from 8TH to 30th April; women pilgrimage in May/June; Pilgrimage Leaders Conference in June/July; Youth and Famers Pilgrimage; July/August, Judges and Magistrates Pilgrimage in August/September, Church Leaders Pilgrimage in September/October, General Pilgrimage in October- December and the Christmas Pilgrimage for families which is designed to avail families the opportunity of praying together and celebrate Christmas in the Holy Land from 17th to 29th December.
