The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) recently held a stakeholders’ forum in Lagos.
The forum focused on the study of the level of competition in the voice and data segment of the Nigerian telecommunications industry.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders across the sector including: Dr. Olubunmi Otti, Zonal Coordinator, Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) South-West Zone; Omotayo Muhammad, Head of Competition and Tariff at NCC; and Mary Iwelumo, Partner at PwC.
The forum provided a platform for the stakeholders to discuss the current state of competition in the Nigerian telecommunications industry and explore ways to promote a more competitive and innovative market.
The forum’s findings and recommendations are expected to inform policy decisions and shape the future of the industry.
